MOONS'
linear stepper motors are available with 2-coil bipolar windings, bipolar windings motors typically have 4 leads. Bipolar motors have a single winding per phase. The current in a winding needs to be reversed in order to reverse a magnetic pole, so the driving circuit must be more complex, typically with an H-bridge (an
H bridge is an electronic circuit that switches the polarity of a voltage applied to a load). DC motors can be operated forwards or backward with these circuits in robotics and other applications.) arrangement. There are two leads per phase, none are common.
● Make sure your motor and harness match. Locate the proper box below.
● Next, examine the color code of the lead wires on your motor; find the row of colors that match your wires.
● Next, connect the proper color to the appropriate terminal on your drive. If you have a Bipolar drive, the terminal on your drive will be labeled A, A-, B, B-.
If get a MOONS' standard harness for linear step motors, the Red wire would be connected to A, Blue connected to A-, Green connected to B, and Black connected to B-.
