Advantages of stepper motors with gearbox

Gearboxes are widely used in industrial automation to achieve acceleration or deceleration through the meshing and transmission of large and small gears. Typically, a large gear is mounted on the low-speed shaft of the gearbox, and a small gear is mounted on the high-speed shaft. The step-down motor, also known as a gear reduction motor, is a combination of a reducer and a stepping motor and is essential in various mechanical equipment, including packaging machinery, printing machinery, corrugated machinery, color box machinery, conveying machinery, food machinery, three-dimensional parking equipment, automatic warehousing, three-dimensional warehouse, chemical, textile, dyeing, and finishing equipment. Additionally, micro-geared motors are widely used in fields such as electronic locks, optical equipment, precision instruments, and financial equipment.

There are many types of gearboxes:

1. According to the type of transmission, it can be divided into a cylindrical gearbox, a planetary gearbox, and a gearbox combined with each other; 2. according to the number of stages of the transmission can be divided into the single-stage gearbox and multi-stage gearbox; 3. According to the rotating arrangement, it can be divided into the expansion gearbox, split gearbox, coaxial gearbox, and hybrid gearbox. MOONS' has introduced spur gearboxes and planetary gearboxes. Gearbox advantages

1. Reduce the speed and increase the output torque according to different reduction ratios. 2. Compact structure and small footprint. 3. High transmission efficiency and precise speed ratio. 4. The speed reduction reduces the inertia of the load at the same time, and the inertia decreases to the square of the reduction ratio. 5. Provides more precise timing than chain systems, less friction loss, and less noise.
